Do I Have To Shave The Donor Area For My Hair Transplant?
Do I Have To Shave The Donor Area For My Hair Transplant?
For Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™ we recommend having a bit more length and wearing the hair on the back of your head at a 5 guard on a clipper. This way, the hair will flop back over the harvested area and conceal your suture during the healing process. You can wear your hair shorter once that heals up.
For the ARTAS Robotic FUE procedure, we do recommend cutting the hair on the back and sides shorter to ensure the accuracy of the robot as it's selecting the individual follicles for transplantation. Our team of stylists will work with you and with a little planning you'll be all set!
