The Benefits of PAI’s Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™ Procedure?
MUHG, or Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™, is so sought after because it delivers a natural result, giving more hair volume or coverage than more traditional methods such as Follicular Unit Grafting alone.
In cases where procedures are done entirely with Follicular Unit grafting techniques, more of the hairs that are in the resting or Telogen phase are actually dissected out from around the base of the graft and discarded. In addition many more hairs die from hair bulb transection. This is when the hair bulb is damaged or killed with the surgical instrument.
At any given time, only between 40 or 60 percent of your hair is visible and growing. The rest of it is in a Telogen (resting) phase and cannot be seen by the naked eye. By taking more hair and planting them all at once you get more coverage and a more natural-looking result at the end of the procedure. The benefits to the Multi-Unit Hair Graft was several things acting together. First, the costs. It is by far the most cost effective procedure and allows for up to 3 times as much hair to be transplanted for a fraction of the cost of other procedures. I have a suture line so well done, that after 1- week it is nearly impossible to see the line. The staff here, had to look hard for the purpose of photographing. I will be able to maintain my military-style of haircut without ever worrying that the suture area is visible. I couldn’t be happier.

I had been losing my hair slowly throughout my early 20’s and was in denial that it was thinning. After a couple of years, it was very noticeable and decided to have something done about it. When meeting with the PAI, they gave me several different options and after analyzing my hair and the follicles, it was clear that the best option was a hair transplant. I’ve not had another procedure done, so I can only speak for the positive results I’ve experienced at PAI. Although I am pleased (and would do it again), I thought my transplanted hair would be a little thicker than it is after a full year. Perhaps no one else can tell, but when I take the time to look closely, I can tell a difference from the rest of my hair. Even with that, I would absolutely do it again. Perhaps the results were a touch oversold, but it is – without a doubt – a great result.

It’s the Industry Standard. Would you invest your money into a sub standard cosmetic surgery for yourself, I would never! PAI is the cream of the crop when it comes to hair transplants. They may appear to be a little more expensive than the others, but actually its completely worth it because you get so much more for your money in one procedure. Coming into this I had the same doubts, skepticism, and disbelief that many of you probably have. The Multi Unit Hair Grafting procedure is the way to go.I am very excited about the results and realize that this is only the beginning. My brother had a different procedure at a different location and although we have similar hair and loss, he will need a second procedure to get the same level of coverage that I have gotten with only one procedure (in fact, he was stunned when I told him how many hairs were done in a single session).

Great results even at 4 months. I did the MUHG transplant. Darren is very straight up about everything, his support staff are very professional and friendly too. It was more affordable than I thought but If you are hesitant about the $$ then don’t be. I’ve spent a lot of money on band aid fixes with other hair companies – PAI have the solution. They even have a hair cut service too which is great.

OK this one is an easy question. PAI committed to grafting all of the hair that they harvested. Due to their multi-hair grafting process I received about 50% more hair than I thought I would get and for sure more than I was willing to pay for if it had been per hair as other competitors had quoted…..I felt good about the price I paid but I feel great about the price and end result based on the multi-hair grafting process.

Darren explained to me how with this latest technique of multi hair grafting, it is possible to transplant 2-3 times more hair in a single session compared to micro grafting. That made perfect sense. I am pleased with the results and totally like PAI technique of multi hair grafting.

For me the benefit was that I was finally able to be proactive in the fight against hair loss. I had tried every non surgical option with absolutely no results. Surgical transplant was my last chance at restoring my hairline. The Multi Unit Grafting procedure only took a few hours with little pain and discomfort. At five months post-op I can already notice that the grafts are growing well. PAI has been fantastic every step of the way.

I knew I was losing my hair. I started to pay more attention to the advertisements that PAI was running on the radio. I finally took that important first step and made that call. PAI was unbelieveable, they took down my information and scheduled me an appointment. Darren and his staff were very professional from start to finish. Darren explained absolutely everything and there were no surprises. The pain was minimal and I returned to work on the forth day after the procedure. I am just completing my fourth month, post surgery date. My entire crown area was without hair four months ago, and now it is very evenly covered with new hair growth, with more growing. I am a person who is very particular and I am absolutely pleased with the whole experience with PAI. My first contact was with Christina and Darren. The main benefit for me was psychological. I had the transplant when I was 55 and was unhappy with the way I looked with a receding hairline. I debated back and forth for years to get the procedure. I’ve always fancied myself as “spiritual”; and that anything purely cosmetic seemed superficial. Also, I was afraid that if I got a transplant, I’d look at my new hairline and think it was not really mine, that I was a fake. I spent several years thinking about the procedure and researching the companies in the Midwest who perform it. I met with Darren Andrews and Dr. Waesche, both of whom impressed me greatly. I had never spent this kind of money on something that clearly was not necessary for my existence. After my research, I chose PAI because of the amount of hair they could transplant in one session. Some doctors outside of the US wanted to transplant the same amount of hair in two sessions but that didnt make sense to me.

I was very hesitant to take the step to do something about my hair loss. My internal struggles with making the decision to do something about it held me back for a while. PAI is the best choice for a hair transplant procedure. I made the big mistake of going to a competitor about a year ago and had a F/U Graft procedure done by a plastic surgeon who offered me a lower price for the procedure. This is actually my second hair transplant procedure, the first with PAI. My first go around was with a competitor using Single Unit Grafts and the results were just OK. However, just 4 months after the procedure I am even more satisfied with the results than I even had been with my prior procedure. I am 12 months post my second procedure. I was very pleased with the amount of coverage and density i got in the first procedure but I had a lot of hair loss and realized another procedure would finish things off. Darren does a great job in explaining how it works and how it is done. He leaves nothing open for surprises. The doctor and the staff are second to none. The results were astounding! My friends said it took at least 10 years off my appearance. My hair looked incredible after 4 months but, now that I am 12 months after the procedure, the hair is even thicker. I was not too sure about this method as it is not the common type of procedure done in other clinics. Darren Andrews did an amazing job explaining how it works and backed it up with plenty of examples to convince me. 12 months after surgery, I do not regret it a bit. Bot a single person has even noticed the hair is transplanted even if I specifically say it has been.

I was informed, and now know first hand, that the MUHG is designed to make the transplant pattern natural and random, like the way trees grow in a forest. The MUHG also gave me great density, even after one procedure. I wanted to do the MUHG at PAI so I could minimize the need to do multiple procedures. I knew that if i used some of the other options out there then it would take 2-3 procedures compared to what PAI could do in one. PAI Medical is well worth the investment and has been a major boost to my self image and self confidence.

I believe in the Multi Unit Hair Grafting process after having researched other methods and finally deciding on PAI. The results I’ve seen after one year validate that you can certainly move more hair with this process. Darren explained this concept in detail to me and I’ve been very satisfied with the result overall Dr. Waesche and his team gave me. I decided to do a consult with PAI and spoke to Darren who not only walked me through and explained the procedure but had actually experienced the PAI MUHG. Had a great experience with PAI and the procedure. About 8 months post operative now and I can’t come close to distinguishing the transplanted hair from the non-transplanted hair. The fine pencil thin line, on the back of my head where the hair was taken, is totally concealed by my hair and has nearly vanished now. I wear my hair quite short and its not problem at all. Considering how many years the surgery will positively affect my hair, it was absolutely a worthwhile investment. I am in the medical field and i can say it is important to follow the basic post operative instructions that Dr Waesche and his team give you, and in my case to use minoxidil (rogaine) and propecia as instructed. I get the propecia from PAI (you get a pretty good discount), and I tried minoxidil which I’ve had a really good experience with so I will probably stick with. I’m in my early 20’s and was really on the fence about getting the procedure done. I didn’t have terrible hair loss, but it was enough, and I didn’t want to wait for it to get really bad. If you’re on the fence and it’s within your means, go for it. I’m extremely happy with my progress and results.

I had received a transplant several years ago and the difference in the PAI process was like night and day. The old procedure had left me with a hairline that did not look “natural”. PAI was able to correct this so that I now have a very natural looking hairline giving me more options for how I wear my hair.

I did alot of research on PAI and the Multi-Unit Hair Grafting procedure and have been very pleased with the results. I had what I believe was more than normal shock hair loss and was told it would get better after 4 months, and it sure did, almost to the day. If you are a woman and can get to this point, just know that it really does get better and you will be pleased with the final outcome.

PAI’s technique of Multi Unit Hair Grafting allowed the ability to move the maximum amount of hair and allowed those new hairs to grow without loss in the transplanting procedure. This is a huge advance over previous hair transplant techniques that did not offer the natural look, viability and volume of the Multi Unit Hair Grafting procedure.

I have to admit, I went to PAI as a last hope. I had tried EVERYTHING. I used Toppik until my hair loss got too advanced. I dropped thousands of dollars with Bosley and got minimal success. I even inlisted the help of Hair Club and had someone else’s hair glued to my head – nightmare! Something seemed to click with the folks at PAI and so I gave it one last shot. Thank goodness I did. The multi-unit grafting works. To say I’m happy with the results is an understatement. If you’re considering PAI – do it. Trust me, I’ve been there.

I am continually amazed at the success I have experienced through PAI. Through MUHG, I have acheived a look that I only dreamed about up until last year. I considered having a procedure done, years ago, but was put off by the “cornfield” look. After much research, I chose PAI, and Darren explained the procedure to me, and how MUHG was utilized. I had surgery done almost 10 yrs ago and had 3 sessions. I thought I was done. However after the natural hair fell out and all that was left was the existing transplants I realized how thin I was. I got more coverage with PAI in my one session performed 4 months ago, have better results, and paid less than I did for my previous 3 sessions 10 yrs ago. If I would have known then what I know now I would have waited and had the work done by PAI.
