We Grow Hair Indy is exceptional. Their experience, outcome, follow up, and price point is absolutely the best. Before committing reviewed multiple services similar to, include going abroad. Indy was the choice and after 4 months has exceeded my expectations. Being an RN for 25 yrs understand the potential risks and challenges of multi unit transfer. Indy's got the surgeons with the experience to ensure max outcome and min risk. Also their facility is spotless, staff is friendly and very professional.

Firstly Darren has had this procedure done and his before pics are not good. He now has the hair I wanted. Excellent manager to coordinate. Only less expensive route was going to another country. Specifically what would occur if things went south and I'm in a foreign land - unless I'm stable am not allowed on a plane, and imagine what the bills may be for a complication which required treatment. Also who would you contact for a poor outcome. Going abroad had too many uncertainties. Also wasn't much less as per cost.
I wanted the ARTAS but Darren advised best outcome using multi. He was right - Though it may be the latest would not be the greatest for me. Darren was right.
Scheduled and went for the procedure, Surgeon looked at me and advised there was a very slight possibility of a less than exceptional outcome and preferred to do some tissue testing prior to transplant. In other words the guy would rather not accept my $$ unless he was absolutely certain of an exceptional outcome. Who does that? Well the best do in my opinion. Testing was completed, all was good, rescheduled at my convenience, and returned for the procedure. Stayed in a hotel across the lot from Indy and set things up so that after my procedure I walked into a prepped room - all was good. The place had a balcony so I could go outside and had the recommended supplies, food, ect. First night sucked. Wasn't terribly painful, just was adjusting to the transplants and healing incision line in the back. Every night afterward improved in comfort. Left Indy after next day f/u. They called me several times first 24hrs and I had a guy to call for any issues day or night. Followed the specific instructions and had zero issues. Took only Tylenol for discomfort. Returned to work a few days later and wore a stretchy biker type cap for the first couple months. Kept things clean and avoid conversation regarding. Continued getting calls and correspondence from Indy to ensure all was well and to remind me to do what they instructed for best outcome. Started minoxidil and finasteride as recommended and took biotin over the counter. Wasn't happy when all the transferred hair fell out after maybe a month, but Darren told me this would happen. Also there was little granulations forming over the transferred follicles that begged me to pick them off. I didn't and they fell off on their own. Was weird - Indy would contact me before stuff like this occurred was like they were in my head. Guess they've done it so much that they contacted in advance and prepped me to avoid challenges. Anyway the f/u was very good and very timely. Just like Darren said, at about 3-4 months things will improve. Bingo. Hairline is re established and balding spots are filling in real well. Again exceeded expectations. Am really happy and lucky to have a place like Indy to take care of this for me. Real happy. Thanks again to the staff and Docs. Big Thanks!

We Grow Hair Indy has been such a wonderful experience. I started noticing my hair thinning out in the front about 2+ years ago and it kept getting worse. As a former hair stylist, I knew how to hide it for a while. Then it got to the point that I couldn't hide it any longer. I was embarrassed and couldn't leave the house without applying layers of hairspray and hair color powder to hide the balding. I would pray it wouldn't rain, be windy, or even work up a sweat that day at work. I didn't want anyone to notice how my hair was thinning so badly. Sadly, I was allergic to the over-the-counter topical solution. MY husband works in Indy and saw the billboard for We Grow Hair Indy. I went in for an initial consultation with Darren. He was very kind and very informative. I decided to go ahead with the transplant after that. The day of surgery, everyone there was very kind and very helpful for whatever you needed. I had tons of questions, and they took the time to answer each one and set my mind at ease. During the procedure I was out for a few hours, but when I woke up, I felt no pain whatsoever. After that, I was sent home with lots of instructions. I was able to text them and get answers when I needed them. I never felt any pain, but a little discomfort. Darren and his staff were always there for me during this process. I stayed with the directions they gave me and now, over a year later, I have the hair that I wanted. I barely use products in my hair and when I go swimming, or it rains, or my hair gets messed up, I don't worry about people seeing that my hair was thinning. My confidence definitely went up and I felt better about myself. I can't thank the staff at We Grow Hair Indy enough for their kindness and all the help they gave me through this process. I would do it again in a minute! I highly suggest them to all my friends that have thinning hair. They even put a little hair in a small bald spot that I had at birth, no hair ever grew there, until now. I am just way impressed and extremely grateful for Darren and the staff. Not once did I ever feel judged or uncomfortable. If you are considering this procedure, do it, you will NOT regret it! I absolutely could not be happier with my results! My hair is extremely important to me. I have gone great lengths to maintain what I have while also doing my best to mask what I lost. But I reached a point where I wanted my hair back so that I no longer had to rely on masking my issues. I came to We Grow Hair Indy hopeful, slightly embarrassed and a bit cautious. I was shocked that my consult was with the head of the company, Darren Andrews - and I couldn't have been more impressed. Darren assessed my situation and gave me objective advice for what would be best for me and what I could expect. He made me feel extremely comfortable allowed me to feel optimistic about my future with regards to my hair. Within minutes I enthusiastically said yes and moved forward with my Multi-Unit Grafting Transplant procedure. Since that point, EVERYTHING with regards to my experience with their team has been extremely professional and positive. I followed their advice to the letter of the law and am now reaping the benefits. I HAVE MY HAIR BACK!!! I really am shocked as the results are even better than I expected. (PLEASE NOTE: it takes a good 4 months before you see real results. So be patient (the hardest part) and trust their timelines and expertise.) Every day I wake up excited to know my hair is thicker. I am also a very PRIVATE person and don't want anyone to know I have had anything done (I am writing this review under a pseudonym). Darren and staff were very sensitive to this fact. Since I was so good at masking my hair loss with products, no one, other than my wife, knows I had anything done. But now I don't need Toppick! Thank you Darren and the Team at We Grow Hair Indy for changing my life. I am more happier, more confident and can't believe how great the results are. And the price was very reasonable too!!!

I am on my 3rd day in since my hair restoration with We Grow Hair Indy and couldn't wait to share how awesome my journey has been to date. My hair restoration journey actually began last year in late 2021. Anyone who knows me would tell you I go overboard when doing my research regarding any big investments that I make. Before I elaborate on how great the staff has been at ‘We Grow Hair Indy’, allow me to go into detail about what prompted me to start researching hair restoration in the first place? Afterall the majority of males have some sort of hair loss, right? Don't we all just chalk hair loss off to a part of life? At least that's what I use to tell myself. Then I found myself looking through old pictures of myself, noticing 95% of those pictures were of me with a hat on. Then I started to think about the events I attend where hats aren't typically worn (church, business meetings, weddings, etc.). Seemed like every occasion I found myself wondering in mid conversation with someone, “is it my receding hairline that they’re looking at”? “Do I have some sort of comb over going on?” That was enough to get me to the point for me to start ‘googling’ hair restoration and to see if it’s legit. One simple search had me spending hours getting to the bottom who is the best of the best in hair restoration. Every click led me to ‘We Grow Hair Indy’. After that much research I thought I would be a fool to not at least reach out to them and inquire about the process. Unlike most companies, who pay some hourly rate to an operator who could careless if you used them or not (or your hairline!), We Grow Hair Indy got me connected with the man himself, Darren Andrews. Being a hair transplant recipient himself, you could feel Darren’s passion and belief in his company immediately. I really thought our conversation would eventually lead to the ‘used car salesman’s’ pitch. I really thought hair restoration companies would be all about doing just a good enough job the first time, so that you will end up coming back for more work down the road. Darren and his company are anything but that. I felt like Darren took a genuine interest with my case as if it were his. Out first conversation last over an hour, educating and talking like we’ve been friends for years. All though ‘We Grow Hair Indy’ has awesome financing plans, this was a procedure that I wanted to save for and pay in full. Ultimately for me, it was best that I put on hold my hair restoration for a year. I think it’s safe to say most people in Darren’s position would be ‘salty’ for investing so much time in me to only be told now isn’t the time. There were no guilt trips or saying that I better act before this deal goes away. Darren empathized and respected my decision and made it known that he would be there for me if I had any additional questions. Insert January 2023. Some of us save for a boat or a trip to the Caribbean, knowing I was working with the best at We Grow Hair Indy, I decided my splurge was hair restoration. That lead to a in person meeting with Darren and his staff, which lead to procedure day. Everyone at WGHI has been truly amazing. From Darren to the staff keeping me informed on ‘what’s next’ via emails and phone conversations leading up to procedure day. Everyone has been engaged, caring, very information. On procedure day I got to meet my doctor, the man Dr. James Slusher. I believe that when anyone has a surgery, they want the most detailed, precise, attentive, laser focused doctor available. Dr. Slusher is that guy. He’s a doctor that will answer any question you have but yet will be the first to tell you when he needs his total concentration when working on your hairline. Bottom line he has a gift for recreating hairlines. Every great doctor, has just as great technicians who work tirelessly on graphing your harvested hairs. There is a comfort of placing your care with people who are experienced and educated in their field. Throughout the entire surgery, I always felt like I was in good hands. I am only in day three but look forward to continuing to document my journey for all to see. We no longer live in a time where hair loss is just a ‘part of life’. We Grow Hair Indy has from top to bottom, people involved who are straight up the best of the best in their field. Hair restoration is no longer, plugs. It’s YOUR HAIR, harvested, reposited on what was once your hairline, to look realistic. It’s an investment where the return pays for itself.

I appreciate that they are knowledgeable, educational and informative when it comes to the hair loss. Melissa had educated me and explained a lot of about the science of hair and why there is hair loss, I learned a lot in that few minutes listening to her. Things made sense when I learned these things, and I found out why the products and things I have been doing on my own didn't work. These educational and informative things she shared with me, back by the proven and scientific methods of growing hair convinced me that I need to make changes and investment to grow my hair healthy and strong again. I trust this company and these people.Melissa and Will are some of the kindhearted people on earth. I came here for a consultation and it was worth it, I want to go through the hair therapy treatment. A few months back, life had been hard for me. My 15 year old had been attempting suicide, and she had almost succeeded. She was unconscious and on comma at Riley for two days. The same month, my husband was diagnosed with a third cancer, osteosarcoma. We have 4 kids, 3 of them inherited my husband's childhood cancer. I am taking care of our 4 kids, which, 3 of them had inherited a childhood cancer that my husband has, three of the children are also medically diagnosed with Majorly Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety, and this year has been hard, with them being in and out of the behavioral hospital. I am the only caregiver, the only provider and I had been in a lot of stress. The reason I started looking at the hair treatment was that one day after I visited my husband doing a chemo, I took my child to her appointment and we had some time to walk and I asked her to take a picture of me. The picture made my heart sank. I felt bad for this woman, she look exhausted, worn out and hair is so thin, I could almost count the strands. I cried secretly for her. That woman is me. This is the reason why I went to We grow Hair, I always have heard nice things about them and how treatments actually do work. I wanted this for myself. But I don't even know how I am gonna be able to put that investment, even on a monthly basis. I started calculating in my head while Melissa was talking to me about the plan, I started thinking what can I do? I am already struggling financially. I scolded myself for even being there, knowing I will not be able to do it. Melissa left the room, and tears welling in my eyes. She came back in with the best news I have heard so far. They will work with me to make it work financially. I couldn't believe it, this is something that only happens in dreams. Will came in, and introduce himself to me, and told me that I deserve a break, and stay strong!! What kind of company does that? Most companies would not be so kind as to take care of someone like me, they would either have me pay in full or I would be just one person that would walk out without having to get the service because she can't afford it.Melissa and Will, I am forever grateful. Your company is amazing, your staff are polite, professional and kind. The informative piece is excellent. The methods are effective. Wow! The whole process was amazing. The entire team was very professional. Working with Will and Darren was great. They made a point to walk me through the entire process before the procedure and ensured I understood the post procedure protocols. The entire surgical team was friendly and kept me up to date on what they were doing at that time. On the follow up/ wash day, Will and Darren both checked in on me and Elizabeth took great care of me, providing me detailed information of the post surgery protocol for the following days. I would highly recommend to anyone sitting on the fence on whether or not to do it.

I discovered my crown was thinning. I went to we grow hair Indy and Darren suggested the laser hair treatment from their machines along with a home device and special shampoo and conditioner. He also taught me a scalp massage treatment to loosen skin and help growth. A year later and I can’t even tell I had a problem. Thank you!

I’m just 4 months out from my EVT procedure with We Grow Hair Indy/PAI Medical Group, and all I have to say is WOW! I hoped for strong results but honestly didn’t expect to see results like these this early on. In addition to the procedure, which only lasted about 15 minutes, I supplement it with daily Rogain foam and 1mg of finasteride which both have proven to help slow hair loss and support hair growth. Trust me, the investment for this procedure was well worth it. My hair is all around more dense, my scalp on my crown is barely showing and my front hairline is filling out more every week. Darren and his team were fantastic to work with, very communicative and profesional, and I’d absolutely do it all over again….but the great thing is I don’t need to! The procedure was a one and done for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Can’t wait to see what the difference is in another 3, 6, 9 months!

Just Do It!!! I have had an amazing experience with We Grow Hair Indy. Hair thinning and loss is prominent in my family and I was anxious that I would lose all of my hair. I am an avid runner but don't like wearing hats, but in recent years have had to do so to avoid getting sunburned on top of my head. My 3 daughters have all gotten married in the last 8 months and I looked soooo much better for the most recent wedding compared to the wedding last August. My initial consultation with Todd was very informative and thorough. I am a physician so I have a unique perspective of how procedures and treatments need to be explained to patients. Todd walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. I had Multi-Unit Hair Grafting in September 2021. The day of my procedure was very smooth. Darren, Elizabeth, and the rest of the team greeted me and made me feel very welcome. I was very comfortable during the procedure and because of the sedation did not remember much about it. I did have some pain the night of my procedure but with pain meds I was able to keep it under control. They are very thorough in providing discharge instructions and follow-up. I followed the instructions to a T, because I wanted to get the best possible result from my procedure. It is crucial to follow the instructions especially in the first few weeks. The hardest part of the process is the first 2-3 months when the hair is growing back. I did feel somewhat self-conscious, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't a big deal. The time goes by fast. Because I am a cardiologist, I was able to wear a surgeon's cap at work and then baseball caps when I was out in public. After 3-4 months, I no longer needed to cover my head. I have continued to follow the instructions that were provided, which is also important. I continue to use minoxidil foam twice daily. I also use the HairMax LaserBand 82. I bought one new on eBay and saved over $100 compared to what I would pay on the HairMax website or Amazon. Finally, I take dutasteride which helps maintain my hair. Even after 6 months, I can tell that my hair continues to get thicker. I can feel more "baby hairs" coming through. I still wear a hat while running, although I don't need to. I have gotten a lot of compliments and remarks from family and friends about how great and young I look. For anyone who is considering hair replacement at We Grow Hair Indy, I would say Just Do It! You will not regret it.

I cannot say enough about my experience with We Grow Hair Indy. This group from top to bottom is the most caring , attentive, medical professional organization I have had the pleasure of doing business with in my life. I was a toupee client today of theirs for years and when I was ready to inquire about a transplant they evaluated if I was a viable candidate and once I found out that I was they didn’t pressure me at all. I then asked what must have seemed like endless questions;) but they answered them with patience and thoughtfulness. The procedure was just as described and the doctor was nothing short of an amazing artist!! I have my own hair back for the first time in 30 years. I swim with my grandchildren’s more active then ever at 56. All I can say is don’t even bother with Hair Club or Bosley. PAI Indy is the best!! My barber even says this is the most natural hair transplant she has seen in over 25 years of hair cutting and if she didn’t know I had it done she could never detect it. Lastly my wife LOVES it and that is the ultimate. Thank you Todd, Darren and the team I couldn’t be happier!!!

I’m very pleased with the outcome of my experience with PAI as a whole. The staff was very consultative and answered questions with no pressure on my first visit. I scheduled a transplant procedure about a month later. Honestly everything during and after went exactly as described. I’m about 13 months out now and the results are great. Hairline is restored and I don’t really even think about it anymore vs. thinking man my hair is falling out... Overall I would highly recommend working with PAI/We Grow Hair Indy if you’re thinking about doing it. Better to say “I’m glad I did” instead of “I wish I had”!

Absolutely FANTASTIC experience! I am at my 5 month post surgery mark and couldn't be happier with my results...and I still have 50% growth left! Every single person I worked with was amazing - from the staff, to the nurses and doctor, and most importantly - my consultant Will Saddler. He was incredibly personable, an absolute expert in the field, and just a great person to talk with. He has always made himself available to answer questions. If you are thinking about hair transplant surgery you should 100% talk with We Grow Hair Indy! You won't regret it...and neither will your scalp!

Like too many of us guys, I was in a combination of denial, hope and a blend of not sure what to do about it. But my hair loss had been bothering me for some time. I hid it pretty well for a while, used hats and hairstyles to get away with it a little more... But I finally had to do something when I panicked if I knew someone was behind me, or being at a public get together or being in a pool. Stressing out about how I will look even with using those micro-fibers dusted on my head. That is no way to live. It made me sick to the stomach seeing pictures (even though I did my best to avoid revealing ones)... of the wrong angle in a mirror. Especially the last 6 months. It had really accelerated. And worst of all, I was embarrassed. Also in many ways, I felt guilty of caring about it so much. I mean I’m confident generally, I’ve had good success in life and should not care about hair right? I mean the Rock, Jason Statham etc are just fine right? I have friends that shave their head, so what’s wrong with me… I should be fine with it right? I wasn’t. It was making me weak and unhappy. I’d find myself being jealous of those with locks on TV or friends with thick hair. I would beat myself up for feeling that way! I had looked at solutions for some time, vitamins, Rogaine and even scalp tattoos! I had been exploring hair transplants for 2 years, but never saw results that I felt were worth it. (The recovery, the iffy results, the cost and many have to have 2-3 procedures too!...) So I just kept putting it to the side. Also seeing celebs get it done and hearing the cost of “good procedures” added to the delay. What’s the point of the results are not great? But then... after some hard discussions.... We did some research, spoke with other providers offering solutions. We found We Grow Hair Indy looked to be that much better. Their approach, the options they provided and proven results, really seemed to be a good fit. We live in Louisville KY, so I figured what’s the harm to go and have a consultation. And like the aim for my own business The Art of Simple Golf, they made it all so simple! Clearing up any confusion, concerns and removed all the noise that the hair loss "solutions" starts bombarding at you. The explanations, the friendly understanding and real approach got me feeling truly cared for. And unlike so many other businesses I had spoken with or researched, We Grow hair Indy found the solution to fit ME. The Multi graft procedure it was to be. Darren who provide my consult was brilliant, kind and professional too (despite being a little upset at the raw photos we took to examine the situation lol ) I trusted what he suggested 100%. The day of procedure came and I was nervous yes, but excited. I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to things like that so I was nervous but the entire team of nurses and the doctor was kind, patient and reassuring. The handful of days after was Interesting with recovery and some management at home to ensure best results and speedy “get back to normal” life. Even just a few weeks after my surgery, baby “sproutlings” started to really show. Even from 90 day post procedure and now, I walk around in stores and alike with no hat and with confidence! I can’t wait to be filming on the golf course soon without HAVING to wear a hat! You hear stories of celebrities getting it done, you see adverts on tv or online, you then read reviews, and perhaps some sound amazing… you see pics of before and afters… And want that to be you right? And it’s ok to feel that. It just took me way too long to admit it and being OK about not being OK with the hair loss and it’s acceleration. But now I’m well on my way to be on the other side of things. I just cannot thank the team at We Grow Hair Indy enough. All I can say is, wherever you are, if you are ready to say “I do want to feel good about my hair. It’s ok that I don’t and Its ok to do something about it”. Go see them. They will find the very best solution for you.

For years I struggled with hair loss. As my hairline continued to recede and the crown of my head began to thin, I would consider what kind of look my future held. I didn’t think I would ever get cosmetic surgery for it, that just seemed unrealistic or out of reach. Then one day I saw a targeted ad for PAI Medical Group. I looked into it briefly and entered my information in their site. I figured, what could it hurt? Well they were very quick and persistent in getting back to me. I was able to do a remote conference with Darren (as I do not live in Indianapolis) and was very impressed with how thoroughly he discussed the process and addressed my concerns. From there the process went incredibly smoothly. The team was always in contact with me to make sure any of my questions or concerns were addressed. The procedure itself went well, and the healing process, though naturally uncomfortable at times, was very quick. The best part, naturally, was watching as the hair begin to grow in the months following the procedure. I am currently 8 months post-procedure and am already very pleased with the results. Fantastic experience with PAI Medical Group and their staff! As a 23 year old male, my hair was thin and my hairline was basically non-existent. Balding at such a young age was tough to handle mentally, and I am glad I made the choice to go with PAI Medical Group. I opted for the Multi-Unit Hair Grafting. I had no pain on the day of the procedure and only normal soreness for maybe up to a week after. After two and a half weeks, I was able to wear a hat and already return to work. It's now been a year since my procedure and the results are incredible! It's nice to actually have a hairline now as well as thicker hair in where I was thinning! I've had a huge change in my overall confidence especially since I no longer have the need to always wear a hat. Big thanks to Darren and the entire staff at PAI Medical Group for being there with me along my journey!

I have nothing but great things to say about the PAI Medical Group in Indy. The only regret i have is not having done my procedure sooner. My confidence levels are simply up the roof after having gone through the ARTAS multigraft procedure. The consultation and every step was communicated very clearly and concisely by the PAI team I was assigned to, especially Will who has guided me and answered the endless questions I had. For the men who are on the fence about this, hear this from someone who has gone through it: don't hesitate and wait any longer! You will not regret it!

My experience was great at We Grow Hair Indy. Staff was always great with communicating my schedule and everything was in order for me. Darren walked me through day one of exactly how the day of surgery would go!!! My hair looks great a year after the procedure! All of my follow up visit's have been quick and easy and I am glad I chose PAI Medical Group to help with my hair loss problem. I highly recommend them if you are looking!!!

I had high expectations looking through their before/after pics and portfolio, but my personal experience still exceeded them. 12 months after my procedure I couldn’t be happier with my results. Hair loss is something that has been plaguing me for about 15 years. I've tried just shaving it and pretending it wasn't an issue, but I missed having hair. I've used minoxidil and finasteride for years and it stabilized my hair loss, but it never caused any to regrow. I had considered a hair transplant for years but I could never pull the trigger. Finally in July 2020, I went for it. I have to say this was one of the best decisions of my life. I had a lot of recession and thinning in my hairline and a pretty big bald spot, and with one surgery I now have a great hairline and no more bald spot. A hair transplant will never restore your hair to how thick it was when you were 18, but it moves enough hair so that you truly do have a full head of hair and coverage of the scalp. I am now free to style my hair as I choose and finally have a full head of hair again. The best part? Results take a year for full maturity, and in some cases up to 18 months for the crown. That means that I potentially have 3-9 more months of improvement. Everyone at PAI was super professional, friendly, and attentive to all my questions. The facility is top notch as well. I cannot recommend them enough!

Hair loss was something that I struggled to acknowledge. Every time I saw myself in the mirror I couldn't really grasp how badly it was happening to me. Most of the time when I went anywhere I was wearing a hat so I didn't think it mattered. Finally after discussing with my wife and hearing about it from some other people I decided I should look into what my options were. I searched around and came across PAI Medical group, I read the reviews from others who had a procedure and weighed that against how I would feel if I just completely shaved it. I scheduled my consultation and when I went in Nate and the rest of the team explained everything in a clear and concise matter. They went over all the options that were available from a system to a complete transplant. I had a lot of anxiety about it and went home wondering if I should have really went through with it. After about a month of thinking I decided I wanted to go through with it. Nate was very helpful in helping figure out financing options and we got it to a point where I was comfortable with going through it. When I went in for the procedure the entire team was wonderful. I had never been through any kind of surgical procedure before other than some dental procedures. They walked me through the procedure and everything that would happen. I spoke with several people on the day of surgery including Nate, the owner, and the doctor performing the procedure and each one was reassuring and helped relieve any anxiety. Post procedure they were very thorough and explained how to care for myself following the procedure. I am now 8 months out and I am still in awe when I look at the before and after photos and can't believe I waited this long. I cannot recommend PAI Medical Group enough.

This place relived a huge stress off of me worrying about my hair loss (which stress can cause hair loss) my mother's father was balding bad and had skin cancer on his scalp growing up I saw how this affected him. Which is something I never wanted to go through. This procedure gave me back the hair I lost on my crown and thickened in my existing hair line up front. Now out in the wind, on my Harley, on the creek kayaking my wild hair can do what it wants and I don't have to worry about if the bald is showing. The staff was more than Kind, and genuinely cared about my recovery, concerns or any other questions I may have had. The procedure was in and out home that night and back the next morning for cleanup. The procedure was on a Thursday and I spend Friday Saturday and Sunday recovering. Then it was back to work on Monday! The thought was always in the back of my mind. Everyone can see it... What would they think... but everyone was supportive, inquisitive and thoughtful. Now when I see people I was around during the whole process I still get complements on how good it looks. I even get the regular complements I used to get back in the day! Never thought I'd need this in my life at then 34, but it's the best investment in myself I've ever done!

Darren and his team are incredibly helpful and professional, they walked me through every step of the process, told me what to expect, and provided excellent after care with checkups four months and one year after the procedure. It was done so well that there is no noticeable scar unless you look closely, and the hairline is so natural that not a single person has noticed anything other than my haircut seeming better than usual. During my research I saw that many people opt to travel to other countries like Turkey to get it done for much cheaper, but it's a much safer bet to get it done close to home with minimal travel, easier in person check ups, and a reputable company held up to US medical regulation standards. In the end the cost was 100% worth it to have the peace of mind.

About Me: Male, early forties, active-duty military with hair loss starting around age 30. Multi-Unit Hair Grafting (MUHG) procedure August 30, 2020 nearly 2000 grafts placed. Pre-Procedure: I had 2 consults with Darren, and multiple emails regarding specific questions about the process. Do your research, ask questions, and develop realistic expectations. There is a lot of information on the internet, and some “too good to be true” results. Take your lifestyle into account, if you’re a smoker, heavy drinker, or on different types of medication, it could impact the long-term outcome of a hair procedure. Rule of thumb- if you are bald before your procedure, chances are you won’t have super-thick Fabio hair after one procedure- but you should have hair. Make sure to read all of the preparatory instructions, and follow them; “stop taking aspirin, using minoxidil, etc.” and remember Individual Results May Vary. Procedure: PAI had just moved into their current location. The facility was clean, staff was friendly, and COVID protocols were a little more stringent. Darren walked me through the process and “drew” an outline of my hairline before the procedure. I was properly anesthetized, so I have no memory of the actual procedure, a few hours later I awoke with a very red scalp and a band around the sutures. Note: *You will definitely need someone to drive you home, and make sure you don’t scratch / bump your head. You will definitely want a partner or helper for about 72-96 hrs. post-op, depending on how quickly you can recover. Post- Procedure: Just like the pre-procedure, Follow Instructions! There’s a big window of no- alcohol, nicotine, etc. A hair procedure is a big investment, so take care of it. Now, I haven’t read too many other testimonials that address post-op pain, so I will be honest. The first 48 hours (after the surgical sedatives wore-off) were the most painful hours of my life. The pressure and pain in my head were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, and it made me begin to regret the entire decision. Happy to announce that the pain goes away, and is replaced by anxiousness as you try to “watch” your hairs grow multiple times a day. I began prescription finasteride and attempted topical minoxidil. Unfortunately, early use of minoxidil caused rashes on my face and I had to wait until after the 6-month mark to begin using minoxidil daily. My results were very disheartening to begin with, even at the 8-month mark, I had a spot of significantly thinner hair which was concerning. However, by 12 months post-op, even the very thin area had grown in. Being patient and following good hair-health guidelines truly paid off. Sutures and scarring. As an active-duty Soldier, I keep my hair very short on the sides (skin-fade). I was initially concerned about the scarring that the sutures would leave. Absolutely, NO issues. Per instructions provided, I was diligent about applying Mederma scar therapy to the scar line once the sutures were removed for approximately one month. My scarring had faded significantly by 6-months and is completely undistinguishable now. Conclusion: My hair restoration journey has been effective, and I know I made the right choice for me. I am far more confident with my hair and overall appearance. I very rarely wear any of my previously requisite ball caps, now. The doctors and staff at We Grow Hair Indy are extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient and willing to answer questions. Hair transplantation is a big decision which requires research and expectation management. I’m not sure I would have made this decision without the amazing team at PAI.

I consulted with Will back in 2020 (virtually) as a close friend of mine had his procedure done here and had great results and I wanted the same. He was extremely helpful and thorough and described the entire process to me (which was exactly how my friend mentoined it). I had a procedure on the books last year but because of work obligations and the pandemic it wasn't able to happen and they returned my financial deposit back to me. When things cleared up work wise and restrictions d/t COVID were lifted I was able to schedule an appointment for October 2020. The process was easy to follow and Will and the doc were great. It's been a little over 1 year and my results have been incredible. Easily noticeable from people close to me and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I highly recommend it to anyone that has experienced significant thinning and hair loss d/t a variety of reasons (stress, genetics, environment, poor nutrition, etc.).

I’m 42 , I started losing my hair mid-late 20’s and it always bothered me. This experience was the absolute best decision I have ever made for myself, hands down. From the moment I was searching around for places to get this done, I knew I needed to do my research and find a place where I felt most comfortable and not pressured. I initially did a virtual consultation which was very informative by Nate. After further consideration, I decided to sign up and make a deposit but then backed out because I did not feel as though I was ready just yet. No one was pressuring, they completely understood that not only is this is a big financial decision, but it's a big life decision with potential regret involved. I let them know I would take my time, do further research and ultimately decide if this was that important for me. I contacted them a year later, and decided to take another stab at this idea. I made a few hour trek to visit their office and meet the staff in person. Everyone was extremely welcoming and Nate took his time to sit with me and discuss options, etc. without once making me feel like I was a burden or "this guy will back out again, let's not waste our time". Nope, absolutely professional. I signed up there on the spot and my procedure was set for Nov. of 2020. It was a nerve wracking experience but the Doctor/staff were very comforting. The day of surgery seemed to whiz by! I was so happy when it was done but you gotta be ready to have some shock when you see your swollen face/bandaged up head and I'll admit I had a couple thoughts of "what did I just do to myself", but I told myself to follow their instructions to the T, and just to not think about it and wait it out, and if I can make it through then it'll be all worth it. The staff was gracious enough to keep in touch with me during my process, and any questions I had I felt comfortable enough to even text one of them and ask. Not once did they make it seem like I wasn't allowed to do that or I was a bother of any sort. Needless to say, the other day marked my 1 year anniversary and that is ultimately the "final result" stage. I am absolutely blown away at my result. I was 29 at the time of surgery and I had a fairly bad receding hairline, classified as a Norwood 3. I always had long hair past my shoulders and it was still thick enough to conceal my hair loss but it bothered me every day, multiple times a day. Once my new hair began growing in the later stages is when I decided to finally cut my hair short to match the newly grown hair. I am now 30 and look like I am 20 again. I have a perfect hairline, completely natural appearance and I am just astonished as to how much this has helped my mental health, self esteem, etc. I would 150% recommend We Grow Hair Indy to anyone. The thing is, you must be realistic in your expectations! There is complete transparency here, no unrealistic promises are ever made, and regardless of how well performed the surgery was, there is always a chance for a bad outcome and that is a risk you must be willing to take! If you're 60 years old and have a Norwood 6 level of hair loss, then do not go into this procedure expecting a youthful head of hair, it's just not going to happen, but if you have realistic goals, and you are optimistic you will get a good result but also complacent in the fact that there is risk involved, then you are probably the right candidate for the job. What an incredible experience from beginning to end....and there is still more to come! I actually had a consultation in 2015 with PAI that I did not follow through with. When I decided to revisit the clinic in March of 2021, the clinic director, Darren Andrews, actually remembered me and still had all my information from over 5 years prior! As alluded to, I had my procedure (Multi-Unit Hair Grafting) done at the end of March 2021. The consultation prior to the procedure was thorough, informative, and eased a lot of anxiety I had going in. I actually spent 30 minutes talking to the doctor about nothing hair related; and right before the procedure too! The point being, I felt very much at ease although I was about to have a very personal procedure performed and where I knew true results could take months to see. But alas, I had an incredibly successful procedure where my donor area yielded roughly 1,700 grafts which, in my case, was over 7,800 hairs!!! That, in addition to a PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma, injection at the time of my procedure & daily usage of Minoxidil/Propecia has given me such positive yield, I am still amazed at how much hair I have....and after only 8 months. It takes about a year to see the full results....I still have 4 more months of growth! I visited the office in 2016 as I was experiencing post-partum hair loss and felt hopeless about ever getting my hair to grow back. Once I met the team they restored my hope and suggested I use a combination of laser hair therapy and PRP. After about 6 weeks I noticed some of my hair growing back around my hairline, and luckily the shedding of hair slowed down tremendously. WOW! Those are the exact words I say when I look at my hair and how far it has come after doing the Multi Unit Hair Transplant... Its believably unbelievable and I don't know how else to express these amazing results. I am an Executive Director of a skilled nursing facility and I have been in Health Care for over 24 years. It never really cross my mind that there were places to fix my receding hairline or the general thinning of the front and top part of my head until someone brought it up in a conversation. I began my journey for hair loss reversal, approximately 2 years ago (2018). After appointments with 2 physicians (different specialties) to determine a medical cause for loss of 75% of my hair (noted by my hair stylist of 17 years), the only possible cause was related to surgery, 4 months prior, and a severe reaction to a pneumonia vaccine. My hair was aggressively falling out, but after the vaccine it came out in clumps, as if I were a chemo patient. I met with the staff at Transitions. My "Complementary Consultation and exam" went extremely well. I might add that I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, so I had medical questions that needed answers. I made the decision that PRP treatments, combined with laser therapy and hair/scalp products would hopefully reverse my hair thinning and loss. I had my first PRP treatment and found it to be no more uncomfortable that Botox injections. I was able to return to work that same day. I purchased 4 treatments and always made sure I was scheduled for the appropriate day between treatment sessions. It has been nearly 2 years and I have had 7 treatments. There are no words to express how amazing these PRP treatments, combined with laser and products have been for my hair loss. My salon stylist simply cannot believe how the 75% hair loss has reversed and almost all hair has returned. Friends and family, as well, have given me positive feedback.... "What are you doing to your hair???.... It looks fabulous!!!!" I could never be happier. I must also add that the staff at Transitions, from the front desk to medical professional providing the treatment are exceptionally professional, while also very down-to-earth. Over the past two years my hair began to thin rapidly until there were several patches on the crown of my head and my scalp could be seen. On the side of my head the hair was thin and limp. Everything was a 5 across the board. In the consultation, Darren's advice was on-target and the final result was better than projected. I appreciated being called about how I was feeling after the procedure. Later, I had some ingrown hairs and they were promptly resolved. I have actually had 3 smaller transplants in the past before PAI. At PAI I had the largest transplant of over 6000 hairs at once! I am 5 months out of the transplant and I must say my hair has not looked this good for more than a decade! As the donor area was harvested from the back of my head (the area not affected by testosterone that induces hairloss) it is permanent.

Okay, so, my body typically has a difficult time recovering from even the most minor procedure. I slept sitting up on my couch for a few days because I was fearful I would roll over on my head in the night and damage the transplanted area. That was not easy to do, but I got through it. Also, I had some swelling after the procedure which was a bit unnerving, but PAI assured me that would go away, and it did. I was able to work the entire time, though. Other than some interrupted sleep, I was able to keep going a day or two after the procedure.

I had a large area done on the back of my head. Swelling was not a concern and I could have gone back to an office job in a few days. I planned my procedure around a long weekend. Talk to Darren at PAI, and he will tell you exactly what to expect and what to do about work , which will depend on what you do for a living, etc. Do just what PAI tells you and everything will go great for you and you will be very happy and amazed with the great results you will see in just a few months.

There was no pain during or after the procedure. The suture line was a little sensitive but that goes away in a week or so. I did have some slight swelling which was not something I hadn’t prepared for. That went away within 2-3 days for me.

I never told anyone but my wife that I was thinking about this procedure. So when I had it done I was sure people would ask about it – I wore a ball cap for about a week but once the post-surgery redness was gone I did not try to hide it and to my shock no one really asked me about it and over time the hair started to grow and it happened so gradual that by the time it all filled in no one ever asked. To date not one person has asked me if I had a hair procedure done but they sure comment on how great my hair looks these days.

I had a procedure 5 years ago through a competitor and there was pain during the procedure and after it, especially from the suture area. I was told by PAI that the technology has changed now and that pain is not an issue. They were right, I had very little pain post procedure. The suture line was slightly uncomfortable, however, I never needed to take any medication. The worst part of the whole thing was staying up all the first night (by choice) to make sure i didnt bump or damage anything!

I had the plug type of hair transplant surgery thirty years ago. I was lucky, I had a surgeon who did as good of a job as could be done with that type of procedure. The Multi Unit Grafts used at PAI is so far beyond the old procedures used , there is no comparison. Their doctor and his staff will do the transplant surgery in such an artistic manner that you or no one else will be able to tell the transplanted hair from your natural hair. I am four months post surgery, and I have hair all over my crown area which was totally without hair four months ago. It is growing in a completely natural swirl pattern and I can see the terrific skill it took to creat the beautiful natural look I am seeing. The procedure is painless and the result is fantastic.

As for the procedure, i felt nothing. I wake up about an hour before they were done and just kept talking with the Dr. and his team till they were finished. I had to wait a short while till I could leave. The first day I felt fine. The second day the area the hair was taken was a little tender but not bad. The first few days were time consuming because you have to be so careful with your head and how you wash it. Other then that, everything was great. Everything healed and I have a ton of hair now. I don’t remember much of the procedure as I “napped” through most of it. I don’t recall experiencing any pain during the procedure. I had the largest procedure done and the first 24 hours post-op were the most uncomfortable. I’d describe the feeling as mild discomfort in the donor area and an odd numb sensation in the transplant area. I was fully functional and went back to work on the 3rd day post-op but with some discomfort. After having this procedure done, the positive results of 6000+ new hairs far outweigh the minor discomfort I experienced. Darren, Dr. Waesche and his PAI staff are top notch! Darren has cheerfully endured countless questions by me and has an earnest concern for me as a patient. Would highly recommend PAI to anyone looking to restore their hair.

I had my 2nd procedure done in late August 2015. I’m retired, but like anybody, I wanted my recovery to move as quickly as possible. I decided to have Enhanced Plasma Therapy on the 2nd procedure. I am 8-months out and so-far-so-good! I had been losing my hair slowly throughout my early 20’s and was in denial that it was thinning. After a couple of years, it was very noticeable and I decided to have something done about it. When meeting with PAI, they gave me several different options and after analyzing my hair and the follicles, it was clear that the best option was a hair transplant. A few years ago I decided to get a hair transplant. I ended up going to one of the supposedly top places in the nation. Everyone was real nice but I didn't get results I wanted, so I actually went again to the same place 10 months later. Of course it looked tons better but my son still made fun of me saying I was bald after two surgeries!! A friend of mine recommended PAI and the price was right so I decided to give it one more shot!! It ended up amazing, the grafts were so much closer together to give it that thicker fuller look!! My experience from the first appointment to now has been very professional. All staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and neat in appearance and the facility is clean, calming, and aesthetically pleasing. Darren was friendly, funny, and handled a very personal decision in a non-pressure way. I loved the follow-up care! I am a firm believer that the experience doesn't end when you leave the office. Dr. Waesche was very informative, reassuring, and the medical team acted like they knew me when I was in the surgical room... very friendly, yet professional. Fantastic, from the moment I walked in the door I felt so comfortable. I researched multiple places for my transplant and this was by far the best place in the world.
